RB Leipzig's Antonio Nusa Draws Interest from Roma and Other Clubs
Roma has shown strong interest in Antonio Nusa, the 21-year-old Norwegian winger currently playing for RB Leipzig. This information comes from Gazzetta dello Sport. The Italian club’s attention on Nusa grew after Mason Greenwood transferred to Fenerbahce and Crysencio Summerville moved to Al-Hilal.
Contact between Roma and Leipzig's top management has already taken place to explore a potential transfer. Leipzig, though, will demand a hefty sum, reportedly seeking between €50 million and €60 million for the attacker, who is under contract until 2029.
Other Targets for Roma
Because of Leipzig’s high price tag, Roma is also considering alternatives. Their scouting includes Benfica's Andreas Schjelderup and 1. FC Cologne's 19-year-old Said El Mala, who is also attracting attention from Borussia Dortmund.
Wide Interest in Nusa
Interest in Nusa goes beyond Italy. In June, reports indicated that Newcastle United and Arsenal are among the clubs watching the winger closely. According to the Newcastle Chronicle, he has admirers including Juventus, Tottenham Hotspur, and Crystal Palace.
Links to Bayern Munich have appeared, but a move there seems unlikely since Bayern recently signed Ismael Saibari from PSV Eindhoven to strengthen their left wing.
Background and Performance
Antonio Nusa arrived at RB Leipzig in the summer of 2024 from Club Brugge, with a transfer fee around €21 million. Since joining the German side, the versatile winger—capable of playing on both flanks—has become a regular starter.
In the last season, Nusa appeared 35 times across competitions for Leipzig, scoring five goals and assisting four others.
