Arsenal Initiate Talks with Galatasaray for Victor Osimhen in Surprising Transfer Move

Chelsea legend John Obi Mikel, a compatriot of Osimhen, expressed strong support for the transfer. Mikel shared that the striker aims to compete at the highest European level, especially in the Champions League. Speaking to Metro, he said:

"I think we want to see him in the Champions League so maybe Arsenal might be the destination. Maybe there is a door open there for Victor."

Mikel also mentioned his conversations with Osimhen regarding his ambition to play in a top European league and contend for major trophies.

This interest marks a notable change from Arsenal’s earlier decision in 2024, when they declined to pursue Osimhen due to Napoli’s high valuation.
