Bentley Joins Coventry City: Aiming for Success

Bentley has thrown himself straight into Coventry City’s plans, talking up both the club’s ambition and his own determination to drive standards in the dressing room.

The experienced goalkeeper, unveiled as the latest addition to the Sky Blues’ squad, made it clear this move feels like the right step at the right time.

“Coventry City is a fantastic club and I'm really happy to get this deal over the line,” he told the club’s official website, underlining the sense of satisfaction at finally sealing the switch.

He spoke of a club on the rise, still buzzing from last season’s surge.

“It feels like a place that is developing and, off the back of a fantastic season last year, there is a really good feel around the place. It is really positive and there is an obvious excitement to go into the new season with the aim of being as successful as possible.”

That optimism matches his own outlook. Bentley arrives not as a project for tomorrow, but as a senior figure ready to impose himself now.

“I will bring a lot of experience. I'm a senior player with good leadership qualities and I'm someone who has really high standards. I want to make my mark on the pitch as well, of course.”

The challenge is clear. Coventry already boast a strong goalkeeping department, and Bentley knows he will have to fight for his chance.

“There is a really good goalkeeping group here. When I get my opportunity, it is down to me to take it. I want to help the club get results in the Premier League.”

The message is sharp: he has come to Coventry to compete, to lead, and to push the Sky Blues towards the level he believes they can reach.
