Bradley Barcola Joins Liverpool as Major Signing
Bradley Barcola has completed his move to Liverpool, signing a long-term deal at the AXA Training Centre to become the club’s latest major attacking addition.
The French forward, who will wear the No.29 shirt, arrived on Merseyside to finalise the transfer, pass his medical and put pen to paper on a contract that underlines Liverpool’s faith in him as a cornerstone of their next era.
“It’s a great pride to be able to play for Liverpool. I’m very happy,” Barcola told Liverpoolfc.com after signing. “It took a long time but I’m really happy today to be able to play for Liverpool and all I want is to be on the pitch and be able to play.
“I hope to achieve very big things. First of all, winning the Premier League – it’s one of my biggest dreams in my life. It is to do that and to stay in this team in the long term – that’s why I signed a long contract – and I hope I can do it.”
A forward built for Liverpool’s front line
Barcola arrives with a reputation as one of Europe’s most versatile young attackers. Comfortable across the entire front line, he offers pace, direct running and creativity, as well as a growing end product that has already delivered at the highest level.
He joins Liverpool after a three-year spell with PSG, where he made 152 appearances, scored 39 goals and provided 35 assists. During that time he helped the Paris club dominate domestically and conquer Europe, lifting back-to-back Champions League titles and three successive Ligue 1 crowns at Parc des Princes.
Before his rise in Paris, Barcola’s professional breakthrough came at Olympique Lyonnais. He made his senior debut for Lyon in November 2021 and quickly marked himself out as one to watch, producing seven goals and 11 assists in 47 outings before PSG moved to secure his signature in August 2023.
Established on the international stage
Barcola’s trajectory has been just as steep with France. Since making his senior international debut in June 2024, he has already collected 28 caps and scored six times for his country.
Three of those goals arrived on the biggest stage of all. The forward was ever-present at this summer’s World Cup, playing a central role in France’s run to a fourth-placed finish and confirming his status as a big-game performer.
Now, with a long-term contract signed, a coveted shirt number on his back and the Premier League title circled in his mind, Barcola’s next chapter begins at Anfield.
