Camavinga at a Crossroads: Real Madrid Open to Offers

Real Madrid’s midfield, long the envy of Europe, is heading for a shake-up under Jose Mourinho – and Eduardo Camavinga suddenly finds himself right in the middle of it.

The club are prepared to sanction at least one significant departure in the centre of the pitch this summer. On current evidence, Camavinga is the one most exposed. Another season has gone by without the 23-year-old truly nailing down a role, his performances falling short of the expectations that greeted his arrival as one of Europe’s brightest young midfielders.

That hasn’t scared off the elite. Quite the opposite.

United Join the Chase

According to journalist Miguel Serrano, Manchester United have now joined the race for Camavinga, adding further weight to a market that already includes Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus.

United are tearing up their midfield blueprint. Casemiro has already gone, a symbol of the club’s willingness to move on from big names who no longer fit the project. Manuel Ugarte is expected to follow him out, leaving a sizeable gap at the heart of the team.

Aurelien Tchouameni has been on their radar, but United’s recruitment team are also tracking Camavinga’s situation closely. They have already asked Real Madrid about the conditions of a deal – availability, price, and what it would take to tempt the Frenchman away from Spain. Juventus, looking to remodel their own midfield, have made similar enquiries.

PSG, meanwhile, see a chance to bring Camavinga back to France, a homecoming that would tick every box for their long-term, French-core strategy.

Madrid Name Their Price

Inside the Santiago Bernabeu offices, the stance is clear. Camavinga is not part of the “untouchable” group. Real Madrid are open to offers.

The figure is on the table: €60 million. For a 23-year-old with Champions League experience and room to grow, it is a number that will not frighten Manchester United, Juventus, or PSG.

Yet this is not a simple case of club pushes, player walks.

Camavinga has shown no desire to leave. Despite a difficult season in which he lost prominence and, at one stage, even slipped behind Thiago Pitarch in the pecking order, he remains adamant he can fight his way back into Mourinho’s plans. He wants to stay, to prove he belongs in a Real Madrid midfield that demands the highest standards every week.

A Fluid Situation With High Stakes

For now, everything hangs in the balance. Real Madrid’s next move in the market will dictate a lot. Mourinho wants a new midfielder, a fresh presence to reshape the department. If that signing arrives, someone will have to go.

On current form and status, Camavinga looks the most expendable piece. Not unwanted, but available. Valuable, but not vital.

That is why the phones are already ringing in Madrid. United, Juventus, PSG – all watching, all ready. €60 million will not be a stumbling block for any of them.

The question is no longer who wants Camavinga. It is whether he can convince Mourinho he still belongs at the heart of Real Madrid, or whether this summer becomes the moment his Bernabeu story ends and another European giant steps in to write the next chapter.
