Coventry City are still in discussions with Sheffield United about bringing midfielder Gustavo Hamer back to the club. Hamer previously made 132 appearances for Coventry during a three-year spell before moving to Sheffield United in 2023. The main hurdle in completing the deal is a disagreement over his transfer fee as he enters the last year of his contract with the Blades.

Ipswich Town look set to finalize the permanent signing of midfielder Florentino Luis from Burnley. After a loan spell last year, Florentino joined Burnley permanently this summer, but Burnley’s drop to the Championship has sparked interest from promoted sides Ipswich and Hull City.
