Dastan Satpayev Set for Loan Move to Burnley

Chelsea’s teenage winger Dastan Satpayev is on the brink of a loan switch to Championship side Burnley, in what looks set to be his first taste of English senior football.

The Kazakhstan international only signed his long-term Chelsea deal on Wednesday – his 18th birthday – putting pen to paper on a six-year contract that includes an option for a further season. That followed a pre-agreement earlier this year for a £3.4m move from Kairat FC, which is due to be formalised in January 2025.

Chelsea have wasted no time mapping out his next step.

Satpayev has already travelled to Turf Moor and is expected to undergo his medical ahead of Burnley’s home clash with West Ham on Sunday. If all goes to plan, the winger will join Vincent Kompany’s squad as part of Chelsea’s latest wave of development loans.

He is not the only youngster on the move this week. Ryan Kavuma-McQueen has completed a switch to Portsmouth, Reggie Walsh has joined Wigan Athletic and Shim Mheuka is also close to securing a temporary move away.
