Galatasaray Set to Match Osimhen Salary for Bruno Fernandes
Galatasaray have placed a huge marker in their pursuit of Bruno Fernandes, with insider Emre Kaplan revealing the Turkish champions are prepared to hand the Manchester United captain a salary on par with Victor Osimhen’s.
That is no small statement. Osimhen is currently the club’s top earner, and his deal has effectively become the ceiling of Galatasaray’s wage structure. To bring Fernandes in, they are willing to push that ceiling to its limit.
The move comes as Fernandes continues without a new contract agreement at Manchester United, a situation that has alerted several clubs. Galatasaray, though, are not just monitoring. They are moving.
Kaplan, speaking to Habersarikirmizi, underlined just how far the Istanbul giants are ready to go.
“Galatasaray are prepared to offer Bruno Fernandes the same salary as Osimhen, who is presently the top earner in the squad,” he said. “They will also present whatever amount is necessary for the transfer fee. However, I believe that the reports circulating in the English media are being utilised in negotiations with United.”
The message is clear: if Manchester United open the door, Galatasaray will be standing there with a serious financial package.
Fernandes has been identified as a priority target, not a luxury. The Portugal international is seen as a central piece in Galatasaray’s bid to strengthen a squad already built to dominate domestically and compete harder in Europe.
The club’s hierarchy have made no secret of their ambition. Matching Osimhen’s salary for a new arrival underlines it more loudly than any statement could. The question now is whether United’s stance – and Fernandes’ own ambitions – will allow this bold play to turn from negotiation leverage into one of the most eye-catching moves of the window.
