Inter's Champions League Squad for 2026-27: Summer Signings Included
Inter have nailed down their squad for the 2026-27 Champions League league phase – and every one of their summer recruits is on the list.
John Stones, Curtis Jones, Aleksandar Stankovic and Djed Spence have all been registered across List A and List B in the submission sent to UEFA, with the Nerazzurri’s plans for Europe now officially on paper.
The squads, as reported by Football Italia, had to be filed by the end of Wednesday, September 2, less than 24 hours after the summer transfer window closed across most of Europe. Inter’s announcement lays out exactly who Simone Inzaghi can call on when the Champions League kicks off.
Inter go with 23 on List A
UEFA regulations allow a maximum of 25 players on List A, with at least two goalkeepers and a minimum of eight locally trained players. Inter fall one short of that homegrown quota, naming seven locally trained players and, as a direct consequence, only 23 men on List A.
Those seven locally trained players are:
- Ivan Provedel
- Raffaele Di Gennaro
- Alessandro Bastoni
- Federico Dimarco
- Mattia Marello
- Nicolo Barella
- Piotr Zielinski
The rest of List A is built around that core.
In goal, Josep Martinez joins Provedel and Di Gennaro.
At the back, Inter roll out Stones, Manuel Akanji, Benjamin Pavard, Carlos Augusto, Yann-Aurel Bisseck and Spence – a mix of Champions League know-how and emerging power.
Midfield looks stacked. Zielinski, Petar Sucic, Luis Henrique, Andy Diouf, Hakan Calhanoglu, Curtis Jones, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Barella give Inzaghi a deep, technical, and varied engine room, capable of controlling games or opening them up.
Up front, Marcus Thuram, Lautaro Martinez and Ange-Yoan Bonny carry the goalscoring burden. Three forwards, three very different profiles, one clear message: Inter trust this trio to deliver on the biggest stage.
Youth talent parked on List B
Stankovic and Pio Esposito, both born after the January 1, 2005 cut-off and having spent an uninterrupted period at the club, have been placed on List B rather than occupying List A spots. It’s a strategic move that keeps the senior list lean while preserving flexibility.
Inter have not detailed the rest of the youth-eligible players on List B, but the inclusion of Stankovic and Esposito underlines the club’s willingness to lean on its younger options if needed.
The paperwork is done. The squad is set. Now the question is simple: is this group built to go deep into Europe, or will it be judged as a missed opportunity when the campaign is over?
