Now the standoff shifts location. Egyptian media figure Karim Ramzy revealed the exact timing of Pezzera’s return, confirming the playmaker will land in Cairo on Saturday afternoon.
Ramzy wrote on his official Facebook page: “Juan Pezzera arrives in Cairo at four o’clock this afternoon.. and Pezzera is bringing with him to Cairo four people, including a personal bodyguard”.
The detail tells its own story. A player coming back from absence, surrounded by a small entourage, returning to a club that still doesn’t know whether he will stay beyond this window.
His absence from training remains the central issue. The final decision on his future is unresolved, with both the player and Zamalek still locked in a delicate stand-off as the clock ticks on the market.

The tension feels even sharper when set against last season’s numbers.
Pezzera was a driving force for Zamalek in his debut campaign. He featured in 44 matches across all competitions, scoring 8 goals and providing 12 assists. He didn’t just decorate games; he decided them.
