Liverpool Negotiating Transfer for Bradley Barcola from PSG

Liverpool are locked in talks with Paris Saint-Germain over a deal for Bradley Barcola, with the winger’s future at the European champions hanging in the balance.

Negotiations between the clubs are described as constant, with discussions taking place on a daily basis over a potential transfer for the 23-year-old. The structure of the deal and the final fee remain the key obstacles, but the player himself is ready.

Barcola, formerly of Lyon, is understood to be keen on a move to Anfield this summer and personal terms are not expected to be a stumbling block. Liverpool know the player wants the move. Now they have to convince PSG.

The situation took another twist on Wednesday night. Barcola watched from the bench as an unused substitute during PSG’s 2-1 win over Aston Villa in the UEFA Super Cup, a high-profile occasion that only sharpened questions about his role under the current regime.

After the final whistle, PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi did little to cool the speculation. Speaking to Canal+, he said: “We will see in the next days. We are discussing, we are negotiating.”

Clear words, and a clear signal that Barcola is no longer in the “untouchable” category in Paris.

PSG are now open to a sale if the numbers are right. Liverpool, for their part, must decide how far they are willing to go financially to land a versatile France international entering his prime.

The talks continue. The clock is ticking.
