Manchester United Signs Sweden Winger Monica Jusu Bah from BK Hacken

Manchester United have struck an agreement to sign Sweden winger Monica Jusu Bah from BK Hacken, landing one of the most highly regarded wide players in the Damallsvenskan as the Women’s Super League deadline looms.

The 23-year-old is expected to complete her move before next Thursday’s transfer cut-off, with only the final formalities left before she joins Marc Skinner’s squad.

United will pay a fee to BK Hacken, with the amount undisclosed. Jusu Bah only signed an extension with the Swedish club in September 2025 and is contracted there until 2028, so Hacken are protected and in a strong negotiating position.

A product of Swedish football, Jusu Bah has spent her entire senior career in the country. She first broke through at Umea, where her pace and direct running quickly drew attention, before earning a move to BK Hacken in 2023.

Her rise has accelerated this year. In May, she played a key role as BK Hacken lifted the inaugural Women’s Europa Cup, adding European silverware to her CV and underlining her ability on a bigger stage.

On the international front, Jusu Bah has already become a regular option for Sweden. She has 11 caps and featured in all six of Sweden’s Women’s World Cup qualifying matches this year, underlining her status as a trusted part of the national setup.

Her arrival continues a busy window for United, who are reshaping the squad with a clear spine of new signings. Defender Andrea Medina has already joined from Atletico Madrid, while goalkeeper Janina Leitzig has arrived from Leicester City to strengthen competition between the posts.

United are not done yet. It is understood the club hope to add at least one more player before next week’s deadline, with Jusu Bah’s impending move a key piece in a wider push to keep pace at the top of the WSL.
