Manchester United Targets Sweden Winger Monica Jusu Bah

Manchester United are set to add serious pace to their attack after agreeing terms to sign Sweden winger Monica Jusu Bah from BK Hacken.

The 23-year-old is expected to complete the move before next Thursday’s Women’s Super League transfer deadline, with only the final formalities left. A fee will be involved, as Jusu Bah signed an extension with the Swedish club in September 2025 and remains under contract until 2028, but the figure has not been disclosed.

United are buying a player who has done all her footballing growing up in Sweden. Jusu Bah broke through at Umea before earning her switch to BK Hacken in 2023, where her rise has accelerated.

In May, she played a key role as BK Hacken lifted the inaugural Women’s Europa Cup, adding European silverware to her résumé and underlining her pedigree on the continental stage.

Her international profile is climbing just as quickly. Jusu Bah has already made 11 appearances for Sweden and has featured in all six of their Women’s World Cup qualifying matches this year, showing the trust placed in her at national-team level.

For United, this is part of a broader late-window push. The club want at least one more signing in before the deadline as they reshape the squad for the new campaign.

The deal for Jusu Bah follows the arrivals of defender Andrea Medina from Atletico Madrid and goalkeeper Janina Leitzig from Leicester City, signalling a clear intent to refresh key areas of the pitch.
