The Egyptian international goalkeeper, a familiar name on African nights with Egypt, has arrived to close out his move to the Moroccan club ahead of the new season. His trip follows a final agreement reached with the Moghreb Tetouan board, according to Moroccan outlet "Botola", leaving only routine steps before the deal becomes official.

Tetouan have gone for experience. They want a commanding presence in goal as they prepare for the upcoming professional league campaign, and Abou Gabal fits that profile. Years in Egyptian football, big games with the national team, pressure-filled moments — that’s the résumé they are banking on.

The move is now at the medical stage. In the coming days, Abou Gabal will undergo tests to confirm his fitness. Once he gets the green light and the remaining administrative details are completed, he is expected to sign his contract with Moghreb Tetouan.
