Mohamed Salah Receives Driving Ban and Fine for Speeding Incident

Mohamed Salah has been handed a driving ban and fine by Warrington Magistrates’ Court after failing to identify who was behind the wheel of his luxury electric Rolls-Royce “Spectre”.

The Trabzonspor forward, 34, was convicted in absentia in Cheshire after the car, worth more than €466,000, was caught speeding by a mobile camera in March 2026. Police asked Salah to confirm who had been driving. He never did.

That silence proved costly.

Magistrates ruled on the case in August 2026, suspending Salah’s driving licence for six months and imposing a €769 fine. The court reached its decision without him, relying solely on the paperwork and speed camera evidence.

According to The Sun, two separate court summonses were sent to Salah’s mansion, reportedly valued at over €5 million. Both went unanswered. With no appearance and no response, the case moved on without the player ever entering the courtroom.

This latest ruling adds to a growing list of traffic issues involving the Egyptian. In 2022, he was fined and given three penalty points after being caught driving a Ferrari F8 Tributo at excessive speed.

Four years earlier, in 2018, he was recorded using a mobile phone while driving near Anfield.

On the pitch, defenders have struggled to stop him for years. Off it, the courts have now done what the speed cameras started.
