It is not a speculative punt. It is a calculated move to hand their new coach a proper number nine as he reshapes a misfiring attack.
From Stamford Bridge limbo to Neapolitan project
Guiu arrived at Chelsea in 2024 from Barcelona’s academy with the usual fanfare that follows La Masia graduates. Since then, he has been stuck on the fringes. A crowded squad, rotating line-ups, and fierce competition have left him in what has been described as a kind of Stamford Bridge purgatory, with minutes hard to come by.
Napoli see opportunity in that frustration.
