Key Signings Each Premier League Club Needs Before Transfer Deadline

The transfer window is rapidly closing, with less than a month left for Premier League clubs to finalize their squads before the season kicks off on August 21. Despite the chaos caused by the World Cup, teams have been busy signing players but still face urgent needs to strengthen key positions.

Every Premier League side has at least one crucial area that requires reinforcement, especially as some clubs are losing important players. Here’s a look at one essential signing each club must make before the September 1 deadline.

Arsenal — Central Midfielder

While Arsenal have shown interest in winger Vinícius Júnior, their midfield needs more urgent attention. Last season, Declan Rice carried too much of the workload, which showed at the World Cup. Alternatives like Martín Zubimendi and Myles Lewis-Skelly haven’t fully convinced yet. Adding a box-to-box midfielder to share the burden is vital. Bruno Guimarães from Newcastle is their prime target to strengthen this area.

Aston Villa — Left Back

Lucas Digne looks set to return to Paris Saint-Germain, leaving Aston Villa thin at left back with only Ian Maatsen available. With Champions League competition looming, Unai Emery needs another dependable option to support Maatsen.

Bournemouth — Winger

Bournemouth lack depth on the wings aside from Rayan, who is attracting offers from Europe and Saudi Arabia. Ben Gannon-Doak, David Brooks, and Amine Adli have yet to inspire confidence under new manager Marco Rose. While right back may see reinforcement soon, boosting the wide forward line remains a priority.
