Rafael Leão Sparks Summer Transfer Rumors

The January window has vanished into the distance, but the market never really shuts. Across Europe, the games are piling up, trophies are on the line, yet recruitment teams are already sketching out their summer moves. The rumours are back on a rolling boil.

Leão at the centre of a looming tug-of-war

Rafael Leão is back on the radar of Europe’s elite. Manchester City, Manchester United, Real Madrid and Liverpool are all exploring a deal for the Portugal international ahead of the summer.

Inside AC Milan, there is a growing sense that this might be the moment to cash in. Leão’s relationship with head coach Massimiliano Allegri is far from smooth, and that tension is fuelling the idea that a sale could suit all parties if a serious offer lands on the table.

A wide forward in his prime, with Champions League pedigree and box-office flair, does not come around often. That is why four of the game’s biggest institutions are already running the numbers.

City eye Enzo Fernández – but keep one name at the top

Manchester City are also weighing up a move for Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernández. The World Cup winner’s future at Stamford Bridge is under scrutiny, and City have joined the list of clubs tracking his situation.

Chelsea’s project remains in flux, and a significant bid could test their resolve. City, though, are not throwing everything at this one. Inside the Etihad, the priority for the summer remains Elliot Anderson, who is still viewed as the main target for their midfield plans.

If the market opens up around Fernández, City want to be ready. For now, Anderson stays at the top of their board.

Sancho open to Dortmund return

Jadon Sancho, meanwhile, is looking back to move forward. The winger has indicated he would be willing to return to Borussia Dortmund once his current season is over.

Sancho’s contract at Manchester United runs out at the end of the campaign, the same point at which his loan spell at Aston Villa finishes. That timing sets up a decisive summer for a player who lit up the Bundesliga in his first stint with Dortmund and has been searching for that same rhythm ever since.

United, Dortmund, Villa and Sancho himself all face a clear decision. Where does his next chapter begin?
