Real Madrid Secures Record Emirates Sponsorship Deal Until 2031
In a summer dominated by transfer rumours and stadium unveilings, Real Madrid have made one of their most important moves far from the touchline. The European champions have tied down a renewed agreement with long-time partner Emirates, a deal that could make their shirt the most lucrative advertising space in world football.
The club confirmed the extension with a formal statement, announcing that the airline will remain the main sponsor on the famous white shirt until at least 2031. If the contract runs its full course, the partnership will stretch to almost two decades – a remarkable lifespan in an era of restless commercial churn.
This is not just about continuity. It is about scale.
Spanish outlet AS reports that the new contract represents a major financial step up. Real Madrid are expected to move from their previous €70–80 million range to close to €100 million per year from the shirt sponsorship alone. That figure would place them at, or very near, the top of the global market for front-of-shirt deals, reinforcing their status as a commercial powerhouse to match their sporting pedigree.
The relationship between the two giants began in 2011, with Emirates initially appearing as a partner before taking over as primary shirt sponsor in 2013. Since then, the “Fly Emirates” logo has been present through Champions League triumphs, La Liga titles and the transition from the Cristiano Ronaldo era to the current generation led by Vinícius Júnior and Jude Bellingham.
Now it will be stitched into the next phase of the club’s history as well.
The scope of the renewal is wide. Emirates branding will continue to feature not only on the men’s first team kit, but also across the women’s side, the basketball team and the youth ranks. It is a full-club commitment, underlining how deeply the airline is woven into the Real Madrid structure.
At domestic level, the agreement sets a new benchmark. The club have described it as the longest-running shirt sponsorship in La Liga history, a landmark that reflects both Madrid’s pulling power and Emirates’ satisfaction with the partnership’s global reach.
Florentino Pérez, who has overseen Real Madrid’s transformation into a modern sporting conglomerate, framed the deal as the natural continuation of a relationship built over years of shared success. For a president obsessed with scale and legacy, a near-20-year alliance with one of the world’s most recognisable airlines fits neatly into his vision.
On the pitch, attention will always turn to the next Galáctico. Off it, this is the kind of agreement that helps pay for them.
