The summer transfer window opened on June 15, yet numerous Premier League clubs remain eager to finalize key signings before Tuesday's 23:00 BST deadline. Big names like Julian Alvarez, Enzo Fernandez, Cody Gakpo, and Ismaila Sarr may still switch clubs, but time is running out to make those moves official.

Julian Alvarez: Barcelona or Arsenal?

Julian Alvarez is at the center of a tense transfer drama. The 26-year-old Atletico Madrid striker wants out, but the club refuses to sell him to Barcelona, preferring a deal with Arsenal instead. The Gunners have been keen on Alvarez for some time, eyeing a fee around 150 million euros (£128m). Recently, Alvarez has missed training and skipped a match against Sevilla, with manager Simeone claiming he wasn’t feeling well. Yet Simeone insists he’ll try to keep Alvarez motivated should he return to training.

Enzo Fernandez: Linked to Manchester City

Enzo Fernandez did not feature in Manchester City's recent win over Brighton, sparking speculation about a big-money transfer. Former Chelsea coach Enzo Maresca, now at City, wants to strengthen the midfield after several departures this summer. Any deal could break the club’s record, surpassing the £116m spent on Elliot Anderson earlier this season.

Lamine Camara to Chelsea

If Fernandez leaves, Lamine Camara from Monaco could join Chelsea as his replacement. This would mark Chelsea’s 13th incoming transfer amid more than 30 departures. Chelsea looks set to break their own Premier League player sales record, having already moved players worth over £300m last season. Meanwhile, there’s ongoing uncertainty around Mykhailo Mudryk's loan move and the futures of Pedro Neto, Tosin Adarabioyo, Dario Essugo, Deivid Washington, and Shim Mheuka.

Cody Gakpo: Manchester City or Tottenham?

Cody Gakpo has attracted interest from Manchester City and Tottenham. City are negotiating with Liverpool, with Gakpo favoring a move there. Yet Liverpool will only agree if they secure another attacker beyond Bradley Barcola. Spurs also want Gakpo, but City’s £80m offer is preferred. Talks are close to breaking down, and Liverpool may hold on to Gakpo unless they finalize a deal for a new winger before Tuesday.

Ismaila Sarr to Liverpool?
