Zeidane Inoussa Set for Loan Move to Portsmouth

Swansea winger Zeidane Inoussa is set to swap South Wales for the south coast, with the 24-year-old closing in on a loan move to Championship rivals Portsmouth for the rest of the season.

Inoussa arrived at Swansea last summer from Swedish side BK Hacken for a significant fee, seen then as a key part of the club’s wide options. His first year in England never really caught fire. Injuries disrupted his rhythm, and he finished the campaign with just one goal in 29 appearances.

Swansea still have him tied down on a long-term deal until 2030, but the landscape out wide has changed quickly. The club have brought in Moussa Yeo and Joseph Opoku in this window, and Manchester City youngster Jeremy Monga is also expected to join shortly. With that level of competition, Swansea are prepared to let Inoussa leave in search of regular football.

The reshuffle on the flanks does not stop there. Swansea are also looking to move on Florian Bianchini after his underwhelming loan spell at Portsmouth last season, while uncertainty continues to swirl around the future of fellow wide man Ronald.

For Inoussa, Portsmouth offers a reset. For Swansea, it is a clear signal that their wide areas are being rebuilt on the fly.
