Zinédine Zidane to Become France's National Team Manager on July 28
The Fédération Française de Football has confirmed that the new manager for France’s national team will be revealed on Tuesday, July 28. All evidence suggests that Zinédine Zidane will take over the role following Didier Deschamps’ departure.
A press conference is scheduled for 11 am at the FFF headquarters in Paris, where Zidane will be officially introduced alongside FFF president Philippe Diallo.
Zidane has not coached since leaving Real Madrid in 2021, making this a much-anticipated return to international football. The job is one of the most prestigious in French football, and Zidane is expected to sign a four-year contract with Les Bleus, likely extending his leadership through the 2030 World Cup.
The first match under Zidane's management will be an away game against Turkey, set for late September as part of the 2026-2027 Nations League.
