2026-27 Bundesliga Season Dates and Fixture Release
If you’re planning a trip to Germany for the Bundesliga, knowing when the season kicks off and when fixtures drop is key. The 2026-27 Bundesliga schedule was released on July 2, with the season set to begin on August 9. This start date is a bit earlier than usual, while the campaign will wrap up on May 22, 2027, about a week later than previous seasons.
Fixtures and Schedule Details
The fixtures for both the Bundesliga and 2. Bundesliga came out on July 2. While we have the matchweek line-up, actual match days and kickoff times aren’t finalized yet. These depend on several things like TV broadcasting slots, European competition matches, and the DFB-Pokal cup fixtures.
International Breaks for 2026-27
This season’s international breaks are slightly different from past years. Instead of three separate one-week breaks in autumn, there will be one two-week break plus one one-week break. League games won’t take place on the weekends of September 26, October 3, or November 14. Another pause happens during the weekend of March 27.
