AC Milan Chase Granada Star Owen Emeka Amid Real Madrid Interest

AC Milan Target Granada's Rising Talent Owen Emeka with Real Madrid Also Interested

AC Milan have set their sights on the young Granada winger, Owen Emeka, but face stiff competition from Real Madrid for the 17-year-old prospect. Emeka, who has impressed many with his performances, carries a €15 million release clause, attracting attention from some of Europe's biggest clubs.

Scout Mission Uncovers Emeka’s Potential

A scout from AC Milan initially visited Spain on September 12 to evaluate 19-year-old midfielder Dylan Rodriguez during Granada’s 1-1 draw against Albacete. Yet it was Emeka who truly stood out, dazzling with a solo run followed by a confident finish at the near post. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Emeka’s Nigerian roots and playing style have made him a hot property, with both Milan and Madrid closely monitoring his progress.

Breakthrough Performer Earns Senior Call-Up

Last season, Emeka's strong displays for Granada's youth team convinced club management that he was ready for senior football. After an impressive showing against Real Madrid in the Under-19 national championship semi-finals, insiders remarked, "Right, this lad might just be ready." The winger has since scored once in six Segunda Division appearances, becoming Granada’s second-youngest scorer ever.

Versatile Player Attracts European Interest

AC Milan also continue to watch Rodriguez due to his adaptability in midfield, but Emeka remains their primary target. The youngster is contracted until 2031, and local observers liken him to Jude Bellingham because of his physical and athletic attributes. Milan would probably introduce Emeka through their reserve team to aid his growth, but they must act fast with Real Madrid still keen.

International Prospects and Future Plans

Emeka is preparing to represent Spain’s Under-18 side ahead of the upcoming youth World Cup in Qatar this November. At Granada, he aims to secure a regular starting spot under coach Pacheta, helping his team climb the Segunda Division standings. Scouts from both San Siro and the Santiago Bernabeu are expected to keep close tabs on Emeka before the winter transfer window.
