Arsenal’s Champions League squad list landed on Thursday – and with it, a surge of relief around north London. William Saliba is in.

Cristhian Mosquera has stepped in impressively as well, covering the No2’s absence and helping to steady the back line.

The European list underlines that reshaped core. New signings Bruno Guimaraes, Christos Tzolis, Ilan Meslier and Konsa are all registered and ready, offering Arteta fresh options across the pitch. Jurrien Timber is also included despite his own stop-start recovery from a persistent groin issue, another calculated gamble on a player Arsenal believe can still influence their season.

For now, the headline is simple. Saliba is back on the page, if not yet back on the pitch. And for a team still chasing redemption on the biggest stage, that alone feels like a turning point.
