Chelsea Eyes Real Madrid's Camavinga Amid Enzo Fernandez Exit Speculation

Chelsea is reportedly planning a late move to sign Eduardo Camavinga from Real Madrid, as their pursuit of Bournemouth's Alex Scott faces setbacks. With Manchester City showing strong interest in Chelsea's £120 million-rated Enzo Fernandez, the Blues are preparing alternative midfield options.

Camavinga Becomes Primary Target

After Bournemouth declined three offers for Scott, including one that reportedly reached £68 million, Chelsea shifted attention toward Camavinga, the French midfielder currently at Real Madrid. Manager Xabi Alonso must explore new options after Bournemouth made it clear Scott will not be sold before the transfer deadline.

Camavinga has been linked with a departure from Real Madrid since Jose Mourinho took charge. Earlier, Manchester United showed interest but opted to sign Carlos Baleba from Brighton instead.

Enzo Fernandez Wants Stamford Bridge Exit

Fernandez, 25, has expressed his wish to leave Chelsea this summer. Although a transfer to Real Madrid fell through, the Argentine may still depart before the window closes. Manchester City and former Chelsea coach Enzo Maresca are keen to add him to their squad after losing Ballon d'Or winner Rodri to Barcelona in a £65 million deal.

Despite targeting Morocco’s Ayyoub Bouaddi for £86 million, City remains focused on securing Fernandez.

Chelsea Sets High Price for Fernandez

The Blues have made it clear that they value Fernandez at £120 million and are reluctant to sell during this transfer period. Nevertheless, they are preparing for the possibility of his late exit by identifying other potential midfield reinforcements besides Camavinga.

  • Adam Wharton from Crystal Palace
  • Manu Kone from Roma

Both players have drawn attention after solid performances at their clubs.

Fernandez Stays in Alonso’s Plans for Now

While the transfer situation develops, Fernandez played as a substitute in Chelsea’s thrilling 3-2 Premier League win over Fulham. Goals from Joao Pedro, Morgan Rogers, and Cole Palmer helped secure the victory, giving Alonso a winning start as Chelsea manager.

Chelsea will soon pause Premier League fixtures to focus on cup matches. They face League One side Luton Town in the EFL Cup, followed by a home game against Brighton.
