Dario Osorio: Premier League Clubs Eye Major Transfer Move

Dario Osorio has gone from intriguing prospect to one of the most heavily scouted young attackers in Europe this summer – and the queue for his signature is growing by the day.

The 22-year-old Chilean winger, a left-footed livewire who prefers the right flank, has drawn concrete enquiries as the transfer window ticks towards its final stretch. Liverpool are among the clubs monitoring him closely, with Everton and Leeds United also tracking his situation at FC Midtjylland. From Italy, AC Milan remain firmly in the race, while Arsenal’s long-standing admiration has not gone away.

Midtjylland’s technical director has already made it clear: several Premier League sides are still assessing the player.

Osorio only arrived in Denmark in 2023 from Universidad de Chile, but his rise has been sharp. He has racked up 117 appearances for Midtjylland, producing 23 goals and 18 assists, and turned himself into a regular for the Chile national team, where he already has 25 caps.

His profile is obvious to anyone who has watched him. Pace to burn. Direct running. Comfortable on either wing. Those traits have drawn inevitable comparisons with Alexis Sanchez and have convinced Midtjylland that they can demand a serious fee.

They have set their price. The Danish club value Osorio at around €20million (£17.1m / $23.4m) and are ready to listen to offers that meet that figure. Lower bids have already been turned away, and there is quiet confidence inside the club that a tug-of-war between English and Italian sides will push the number higher.

Behind the scenes, Midtjylland’s coaching staff and board have indicated they expect Osorio and another key forward to leave before the window shuts, describing a sale as almost inevitable. No formal bid has yet been accepted, but the volume and calibre of interest suggest the situation will move quickly once someone makes the first decisive move.

The destination remains the big question. Premier League or Serie A? Either way, the consensus among scouts and decision-makers is that Osorio is ready for a higher level.

The timing is significant. Liverpool’s search for wide reinforcements is well known, with the club exploring deals for players such as Bradley Barcola and Ibrahim Mbaye as they look at potentially adding two new wingers. On the other side of Stanley Park, Everton are also pushing to bring in another wide player before the deadline. Jack Grealish remains on their radar, Como’s Assane Diao is on the shortlist, and Osorio has been discussed as an option by David Moyes’ side.

So the battle will not be confined to Merseyside. With Midtjylland open to a sale at the right price and multiple heavyweights circling, Osorio stands on the brink of the move that could define the next phase of his career – and reshape one club’s attack for years to come.
