Edgar Djabi in Stable Condition After Operations

Midtjylland midfielder Edgar Djabi is in a stable condition after undergoing two operations, the club has confirmed.

Djabi has been brought out of a medically induced coma and is described by the Danish side as “doing well under the circumstances”, a cautiously positive update after a deeply worrying spell for the 20-year-old.

The Guinea-Bissau international, who came through the Benfica Lisbon academy, joined Midtjylland in 2023 and returned to Denmark this season following a loan move. He has yet to make a league appearance in the current campaign, but remains regarded as one of the club’s promising midfield options.

Midtjylland, led by former BVB coach Mike Tullberg, sit second in the Danish table and are pushing hard in the championship round. Their title charge now runs alongside a more personal battle: the squad, staff and supporters waiting and hoping for Djabi’s continued recovery.
