Edo Queens Coach Kennedy Boboye Insists on Full Strength Against Ampem Darkoa Ladies

Edo Queens head coach Kennedy Boboye has ruled out any notion of easing off in their final group game at the WAFU B Women’s Champions League, insisting his side will go full strength against Ghanaian champions Ampem Darkoa Ladies.

The Nigerian champions have already sealed a place in the semi-finals after winning their first two matches, but Boboye is not treating the clash like a dead rubber. For him, the standards stay the same.

“We don’t have any player to rest; it’s only one of our defenders who was ruled out of the tournament due to a head injury,” he said ahead of the matchday three showdown.

That single enforced absence aside, Boboye made it clear every member of the squad remains in contention and on alert.

“All the players in the squad will come out and play when needed, and they will surely give their all to the team,” he added, underlining the internal competition driving Edo Queens’ campaign.

The stakes around the tournament sharpen that message. The WAFU B crown brings more than a trophy: the winner secures a coveted ticket to the 2026 CAF Women’s Champions League.

Edo Queens are already in the last four. Boboye wants them to arrive there battle-hardened, not coasting.
