Barcelona see him as one of the leading alternatives to their priority target, Julian Alvarez. But there is a problem. Bournemouth.
Inside the club, Kroupi is considered untouchable. The Premier League side have no intention of selling him this summer and have made that stance clear in talks. To underline their position, they have slapped a €130 million price tag on the striker, a figure designed less as an invitation and more as a warning.
That number cuts straight across Barcelona’s plans. The Catalans are already reluctant to go beyond €100 million for Alvarez, their primary target for the centre-forward role. If they hesitate at that level for a proven Argentine international, pushing to €130 million for Kroupi feels even more remote.
So Barcelona wait, and work, on two fronts. Their priority remains unlocking a deal for Alvarez with Atletico Madrid. The club’s offer for the Argentina forward is on the table but not forever; it is set to expire at the end of the month. If no breakthrough comes with Atleti, the spotlight is likely to swing more intensely towards Kroupi.
