Inter Milan have come back for Moussa Diaby, this time with serious intent and serious money on the table.

The Italian giants have lodged a €40 million offer for the France winger, according to Saudi media figure Mohammed Al-Bukairi, piling pressure on Al-Ittihad’s hierarchy at a delicate moment in their summer planning.

This is no opportunistic bid. Diaby has been one of Al-Ittihad’s standout performers in pre-season, answering doubts that lingered from the end of last campaign. Sharper on the ball, stronger in duels, and visibly fitter, he has used the summer to rebuild both form and reputation, just as European clubs began circling again.

Inter know this. They tried to prise him away last summer and were firmly rebuffed, with Al-Ittihad digging in to keep a player they considered central to their project. Diaby himself was open to that move, but the Saudi club stood their ground.
