Juventus Completes Kolo Muani Transfer from PSG
Juventus have finally dragged one of the summer’s most complex transfer sagas over the line, striking a hard-fought agreement with Paris Saint-Germain for Randal Kolo Muani after negotiations that repeatedly threatened to implode.
The Turin club will take the France international on loan with an obligation to buy, in a package that Sky Sport Italia value at 38 million euros fixed, with a further 12 million euros available in bonuses. If every clause is met, the deal climbs to 50 million euros.
This is not a simple punt. It is a calculated gamble on a forward whose career has drifted since that blockbuster move to Paris.
A Deal That Refused to Die
Talks between Juventus and PSG dragged on for weeks, tangled in conditions, payment structures and performance clauses. At several points the move looked dead, only to be revived as the clubs inched closer on the formula.
French outlets were first to declare the agreement effectively done, reporting that Kolo Muani would leave within 48 hours to complete his medical and sign. Italian confirmation followed, and with it the key detail: the obligation to buy.
Every party now agrees on the same structure — a loan this season, then a mandatory purchase if Juventus qualify for European competition. Initially, that trigger was tied only to Champions League qualification. Sky Sport Italia report that it has since been broadened to include all European spots, lowering the threshold and making the obligation far more likely to kick in.
Gianluca Di Marzio breaks the numbers down cleanly: 38 million euros for the combined loan and permanent fee, plus up to 12 million euros in bonuses. Fabrizio Romano has stated that the operation is worth “more than 43 million euros,” while Alfredo Pedullà pushes the ceiling higher, up to 50 million euros, stressing that some of those bonuses depend on demanding targets that will be difficult to hit.
Big Wages, Big Expectations
Kolo Muani is set to sign a five-year contract in Turin. The forward will earn 5.5 million euros per season, with a further 1.5 million euros tied to performance-related bonuses.
For Juventus, it is a significant outlay in both fee and wages, but also a rare opportunity: a 25-year-old France international, still with obvious upside, available at almost half the cost PSG paid just a year earlier.
The Paris club signed him from Eintracht Frankfurt in the summer of 2023 for 95 million euros, a statement signing that never truly caught fire. Kolo Muani struggled to impose himself in a star-studded attack, his form dipping as expectations rose.
His trajectory since then has been restless. He spent six months on loan at Juventus in 2025, then moved to Tottenham Hotspur for last season, searching for rhythm, goals, and a permanent home.
Now he returns to Turin with a very different context and a very clear message: this time, the club are all-in.
A Second Chance in Turin
For Juventus, this is as much about timing as talent. The fee structure gives them breathing room under financial constraints, while the European-qualification clause injects a sharp competitive edge into the season. Miss out on Europe, and the obligation never activates. Hit their target, and Kolo Muani becomes a long-term pillar of the attack.
For Kolo Muani, it is a reset. The weight of that 95 million-euro price tag belongs to the past. What counts now is whether he can turn this carefully engineered second chance into the career-defining move it is designed to be.
Juventus have put the framework in place. The numbers are agreed, the conditions are clear, the contract is ready.
The next step is his.
