Leny Yoro Receives First Senior France Call-Up After Ibrahima Konaté Withdraws

Manchester United defender Leny Yoro, aged 20, has been summoned to the senior France squad by manager Zinédine Zidane at the last minute, according to an announcement from the French Football Federation. This marks the former Lille OSC player's first call-up to the senior national team.

Yoro steps in for Ibrahima Konaté of Real Madrid, who had to withdraw due to a minor right knee sprain. The injury forced Konaté out just before the squad was finalized.

Opportunity at Nations League

Already present at France’s Clairefontaine training camp as part of the under-21 group under Gérald Baticle, Yoro now has the chance to prove himself in the upcoming Nations League matches. Zidane’s team faces Turkey, Belgium, and Italy in the next four fixtures, where Yoro may see action.
