Liverpool's Renewed Interest in Khéphren Thuram
Liverpool’s long-running interest in Khéphren Thuram is flickering back into life.
According to Corriere dello Sport, the Juventus midfielder is once again on the radar at Anfield, years after Liverpool first pushed to bring him in from OGC Nice during Jürgen Klopp’s time in charge. Back then, the club were viewed as frontrunners for the French international. The groundwork was there, the admiration clear, yet the deal never crossed the line and Thuram instead chose Turin.
Now the story is looping back.
Juventus are increasingly open to a sale this summer, and that has alerted several Premier League clubs. Liverpool are back in the conversation, weighing up a move for a 25-year-old who still fits the profile they once identified: athletic, technically secure, and with the ceiling to grow into a midfield mainstay.
The competition, though, is real. Manchester United have registered their interest, eyeing another option as they continue to reshape their midfield. Nottingham Forest are in the frame as well, ready to test their pulling power against two of the division’s heavyweights.
If Juventus do decide to cash in, Thuram will not be short of offers. The question now is whether Liverpool turn old admiration into a concrete bid, or watch a player they once led the race for walk into a different Premier League dressing room.
