Juventus Turn to Zirkzee After Kolo Muani Collapse
Juventus had initially set their sights on Randal Kolo Muani. Talks with Paris Saint-Germain progressed as the Italian club tried to capitalise on the striker’s underwhelming loan spell at Tottenham last season. The move looked close.
Then it broke down.
Negotiations over the financial terms stalled, and Juventus walked away rather than meet PSG’s demands. With their search for a new No 9 still urgent, they pivoted quickly.
Zirkzee moved to the top of their list.
According to The Sun, the 25-year-old has emerged as a prime target, and his camp has already responded positively to Juventus’ approach. The Old Lady now lead the race for his signature, with interest from elsewhere unable, for the moment, to match the Italian club’s intent.
United Ready to Cut Their Losses
United appear prepared to sanction a deal that underlines how far Zirkzee’s stock has fallen at Old Trafford.
They paid around £36.5 million to bring him to the club in 2024. Now they are willing to let him leave on a loan with an option to buy set at £30 million. Club officials believe that figure accurately reflects his current value after a season in which he never truly imposed himself.
The numbers tell the story. Zirkzee has scored just nine goals in 75 appearances for United. Last season he started only five Premier League matches under Ruben Amorim and Michael Carrick combined, a clear sign that he no longer fits into the club’s attacking plans.

For Juventus, the appeal is obvious. Zirkzee is 25, technically gifted, and already accustomed to Serie A. Italian football will not be new ground.
