A New German Face at the Helm
The club is said to be close to appointing 38-year-old Matthias Jaissle as Howe's replacement. Jaissle, who first gained recognition coaching at RB Salzburg, has been managing Al-Ahli in Saudi Arabia since 2023. His contract there runs until 2027, but an early exit appears feasible given both Newcastle and Al-Ahli share ownership by Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund (PIF).
