Former Liverpool and Rangers midfielder Ovie Ejaria has taken an unconventional approach to finding a new team by posting on LinkedIn. The 28-year-old, now a free agent, is actively searching for a club after parting ways with Real Oviedo.

Free Agent Highlights Career and Flexibility

Ejaria’s LinkedIn message outlined his availability and versatility, offering to play in various midfield roles or as a left winger. He wrote: "I'm currently a free agent and looking for the right opportunity. If there's a chance or you know a club seeking a midfielder - (6, 8 & 10) or a left winger, please DM me." This public call reflects his desire to find a suitable project after making only eight appearances in La Liga last season, with Oviedo facing relegation.

The London-born player also listed his previous clubs, including Liverpool, Sunderland, Rangers, and Reading, hoping that his experience will attract interest.

Recall of Loan Spell at Rangers Under Steven Gerrard

Ejaria had a notable loan stint at Rangers during the 2018-19 season under manager Steven Gerrard, though he left early in December 2018. Gerrard expressed disappointment over Ejaria's early return, telling the Glasgow Times: "Am I disappointed he’s gone? Yes. Do I think it’s the right decision? No, because I think he had an incredible opportunity here."

During that loan, Ejaria impressed particularly in a Europa League playoff tie against FC Ufa, scoring an early goal in a 1-1 draw which helped Rangers reach the group stage. Gerrard praised his composure, calling it "his strongest 90 minutes" and describing the performance as "magnificent" and his first truly excellent display.
