The season's first international break is here, sending players worldwide to join their national teams. Premier League matches won't return until October 10th. But not every manager will find peace during this pause; some might face the axe before league action resumes.

Expectations were high after Spurs invested more than £300 million on new signings like Sandro Tonali, Mateus Fernandes, Savio, and Jan Paul van Hecke. His hefty five-year contract, signed in April, might be the only thing shielding him from dismissal so far.

Michael Carrick

Manchester United showed signs of improvement when Carrick took over as interim coach in January, but since making his role permanent, results have plummeted. Arbeloa brought in several Castilla favorites during the summer transfer window, but rumors suggest unrest in the locker room. Frank Lampard

After guiding Coventry City back to the Premier League for the first time in 25 years by winning the Championship, Lampard now faces struggles at the top level. Despite a recent win over Nottingham Forest, Coventry remain in the relegation zone, having lost four of their first five matches. Lampard enjoys strong backing from fans, but ongoing bad results could change that swiftly.
