PSG Set to Sign Akliouche as Enrique Revamps Attack
Paris Saint-Germain are on the brink of adding another sharp edge to their attack, closing a deal for Monaco winger Akliouche in a move that underlines Luis Enrique’s determination to keep his frontline among Europe’s most feared.
The transfer, described as imminent by reports in Spain, has moved quickly. PSG identified the 24-year-old France international as a priority target and pushed hard once it became clear he could be prised away from the Principality. With Bradley Barcola widely expected to leave this summer, Akliouche has been earmarked as the man to fill the gap on the flank.
Monaco initially stood firm. PSG’s first offer, around €45 million, was rejected as the Ligue 1 runners-up tried to hold their ground over a player who has grown into one of their key performers. From academy prospect to marquee move
Akliouche’s journey makes this transfer feel like a statement. He joined Monaco’s academy in 2018 and forced his way into the first team three years later, gradually turning from promising youngster into a regular threat in Ligue 1. The move to Paris will be his first step away from the club that shaped him.
On the international stage, he has already broken into the France setup, collecting ten senior caps and scoring once for Les Bleus. He featured at the 2026 World Cup, coming off the bench as an 83rd-minute substitute for Barcola in a 3-0 group-stage win over Iraq – a neat twist now that he is set to follow the same player at club level, rather than replace him from the sidelines.
Medical in Paris, contract to 2031
The deal is now in its final stretch. Akliouche travelled to Paris on Thursday to undergo his medical, the last formal hurdle before signing. PSG, reigning European champions for the second year running, have prepared a long-term contract running until June 2031, a clear signal that they see him as part of the club’s next era rather than a short-term patch.
Once the medical is completed and the paperwork is signed, Akliouche will walk straight into Enrique’s squad, adding fresh competition and depth on the wings. In a team already stacked with attacking options, the question now is not whether he belongs at this level, but how quickly he can turn this high-profile move across Ligue 1 into a defining chapter of his career.
