“We'd already talked to the Rossoneri about the possibility of going elsewhere. But as long as I'm with them, I'll give it my all,” he said, drawing a clear line between the present and what might come next.

After the World Cup and with his return to Milanello scheduled for the 29th, Leao’s entourage have, according to reports, already opened talks with Fenerbahce. The negotiations underline what his words suggest: Milan and Leao are no longer fully aligned on the road ahead.
Speaking on the Brazilian podcast "Podpah", Leao laid out his situation with AC Milan in simple terms. “I've already spoken to the club about the possibility of trying a new experience. I don't know if it will happen. I have to report to Milanello on the 29th, and while I'm there, I'll give my all, always respecting the club that has given me everything.”
It was not a farewell. Not yet. But it sounded very much like a player preparing himself, and the fans, for that possibility.

On the pitch, the numbers tell only part of the story. Nine goals and three assists in Serie A would be respectable for many. For Leao, they framed a campaign that never quite caught fire.
