Roma Targets Nicolo Tresoldi as New Forward

Roma’s search for a new forward under Gian Piero Gasperini has taken another sharp turn. After negotiations for Mason Greenwood and Crysencio Summerville collapsed earlier this month, the Giallorossi have moved decisively onto a new target: Nicolo Tresoldi of Club Brugge.

It is a profile Gasperini appreciates. Young, mobile, and with clear upside, the German striker fits the aggressive, high-tempo attacking blueprint the coach wants to impose in the capital. Roma’s hierarchy have picked up that signal and are now at the table.

According to Il Tempo reporters Filippo Biafora and Lorenzo Pes, Roma are in direct talks with Club Brugge over a deal. The dialogue is open, the interest concrete.

Crucially, Tresoldi has already made his stance known. The striker has expressed his intention to join Roma, a key lever in any negotiation and a clear indication of how he views the next step of his career.

The problem sits elsewhere. Brugge are holding firm on their valuation and continue to demand a high fee, testing Roma’s resolve and room for manoeuvre in the market.

Roma have their man in mind. Gasperini has his preferred profile. Now the outcome hinges on one question: will Brugge’s price tag bend enough to let this move happen?
