Santos to Partner with Adidas for Kit Supply Starting 2028 Season
Santos Futebol Clube has officially announced a new partnership with Adidas, set to begin in the 2028 season. This deal ends their current agreement with Umbro, who have supplied the club's kits since 2018 and will continue until the end of 2027.
End of Umbro Era, Beginning of Adidas Return
The switch to Adidas marks the third time the iconic three stripes will provide uniforms for Santos at their Vila Belmiro home ground. The German brand confirmed the contract on Thursday evening, highlighting that this move aims to increase commercial revenue and expand the club's presence worldwide.
Expanding Adidas' Reach in Brazil
By adding Santos to its portfolio, Adidas strengthens its position within the Brazilian Serie A, already supplying other top clubs such as Flamengo, Cruzeiro, and Internacional. The partnership includes not only matchday kits but also lifestyle and training apparel.
The club’s global appeal remains strong, thanks to legends like Pelé and current stars including Neymar and Philippe Coutinho, enhancing its marketability across various regions.
Current Season and Upcoming Challenges
On the field, Santos currently hold eighth place in Serie A, accumulating 38 points from 27 matches. Manager Cuca's squad faces a tough sequence of fixtures: an away game against São Paulo on October 2, followed by a home match versus Flamengo six days later, and concluding with another away contest at Atlético Mineiro on October 11.
