Women’s Super League 2026/27 Transfer Windows Announced

The countdown to another frantic Women’s Super League recruitment race is officially on.

League officials have locked in the dates for the 2026/27 transfer windows, setting the stage for a summer of deals and late‑night negotiations that will shape the new campaign.

The summer window opens on Tuesday, June 16, with clubs cleared to register new players from that date right through to Thursday, September 3. As ever, the final hours will be tense: the deadline is set for 11pm (UK time), leaving sporting directors and agents with a familiar race against the clock.

Once that flurry settles and the season finds its rhythm, attention will turn to the mid-season reshuffle. The winter window swings open on Monday, January 4, 2027, and runs until 11pm on Thursday, February 4. One month for clubs to fix what went wrong, reinforce what went right, or gamble on the signing that might tilt a title race or rescue a season.

Recent business underlines how decisive these windows can be. Last summer brought in Chloe Kelly, Taylor Hinds, Anneke Borbe, and Olivia Smith, four signings who arrived with the clear brief of raising standards and deepening competition for places. January then delivered another twist, with Smilla Holmberg added to the squad and Barbora Votikova brought in on loan to sharpen options further.

Those names show what a well-judged window can do. The dates are set. The strategy meetings have already started. Now the question is who gets their planning right when the market opens and the phones start ringing again.
