This win sealed a historic achievement for the club, as they won all seven of their opening matches across competitions. They sit top of La Liga with six wins from six games, boasting a remarkable 33 goals scored so far.
Gavi Praises Team’s Sharpness Early On
Speaking about the match, the 22-year-old midfielder praised his teammates’ relentless effort and clinical finishing. He stressed how crucial it is for Barcelona to sustain this level of intensity throughout a long season.
“We are doing very well,” Gavi said. “We score quickly, and if we create two or three chances, they usually go in. Keeping this momentum is key because the season is long.”
Opening Up About His Injury Challenges
The La Masia academy product also shared his personal journey recovering from serious knee injuries. Despite setbacks earlier in the season, he has managed to appear in important matches under the current manager.
“The past few years have been tough because I’ve had some serious injuries,” Gavi admitted. “Not everyone can come back to this level after knee problems like I have. It’s very difficult, but I’ve played key matches with the manager.”
Barcelona Looks Ahead With Confidence
As Barcelona focuses on maintaining their unbeaten run, Gavi’s return adds valuable depth to the midfield amid a busy fixture list. The team aims to extend their lead at the top of La Liga and push for trophies across all competitions.
