Liverpool May Step Back from Bradley Barcola Transfer Talks Despite Strong Interest

Barcola's Status and PSG's Demands

After an extended break following the World Cup, Barcola has returned to PSG and was named in Luis Enrique’s squad for the UEFA Super Cup match against Aston Villa. When asked about Barcola's future on August 11, Enrique gave no clear answers, leaving his next destination uncertain.

Sky Sports confirmed Liverpool's interest and noted that Barcola is tempted by the idea of joining Anfield, but the £145m price tag remains a huge barrier to any deal.

Arsenal Could Take Advantage

If Liverpool back away, Arsenal’s chances of signing Barcola would improve significantly. Barcola offers pace, creativity, and a real one-on-one threat on the left wing, qualities that would fit well into Mikel Arteta’s system.

PSG have bolstered their attack this summer, which might push Barcola towards considering a move more seriously. Yet, the price demanded is very high. Arsenal have already brought in Christos Tzolis and would likely hold off on a major new signing unless the cost feels justified.
